Hello, world! Despite lack of recent evidence, I’m still alive and breathing! I’m just having a really hard time to go back to my blogging schedule – I don’t have a good excuse. But today I’m back and with reviews! THE MIRACLE.

On another bunch of mini reviews, I’ll talk about more gay romances that I have read over the year and haven’t reviewed yet =)

Can friendship, Star Trek, drama club, and a whole lot of coffee get two nerdy best friends through the beginning of their senior year of high school?

Linus starts tutoring the totally dreamy new kid, Danny, and Meg thinks setting them up is the perfect project to distract herself from her own heartbreak. Good morning, daisies! Let’s kick off this rain filled and drown worthy lovely Thursday with a sweet YA book I just finished last night: Incriminating Dating, from Rebekah L. Purdy ❤ I have received my copy from Entangled Teen Crush through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review and the moment arrived! Thanks, guys! ❤

Hi, there! As you may have realized by now, I had a severe problem of lack of self-control during my debut month at Edelweiss with so many books available to be read at the spot, haha! Schiffer Publishing was my main victim, as they seem to publish all the non-fiction subjects that I love reading about and some! This time, I’ll talk about a Photographic book: Retro Glamour Photography of Mark Anthony Lacy, from the man himself.

While candy-colored pinup may be popular with some, this is a collection of dark, sexy images that truly reflect the sophisticated side of the pinup genre. Seemingly ripped from the men’s magazines of yesteryear, these photos are so authentic looking down to the smallest detail as if they were actually taken decades ago. Bullet bras, seamed stockings, high heels, and girdles bursting at the seams! Leave the cutesy stuff behind. Internationally published photographer Mark Anthony Lacy specializes in bringing out the allure and sensuality of his female subjects. He combines his backgrounds in art, architecture, film, and photography to create incredibly authentic vintage tableaus in his New York studio.

Good afternoon, beauties! Today, I’m going to dig things up and show you a side of this panda that you haven’t seen in a GOOD while: non-fiction panda! =D Yes, you read it correctly. In March, I did my official debut on Edelweiss and I fell in love with the books of Schiffer Publishing. Most of their catalogue at Edelweiss is ready to read and they specialize in non-fiction. As a lover of Fashion, Arts and such, I devoured book after book and now I’m here to start talking about them 😉 My first one was Eisenberg Originals: The Golden Years of Fashion, Jewelry, and Fragrance, 1920s-1950s, from Sharon Schwartz & Laura Sutton.

I received my copy from the publisher through Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review and this is the time. Here we go!

Eisenberg was one of the first American design houses, and the jewelry that bears its mark is among the finest costume pieces ever created. Yet there is surprisingly little written about the company, and almost nothing about the other products it marketed. In more than 400 photographs, this book chronicles Eisenberg’s beginnings in clothing fashion and follows the trajectory of its revered jewelry line, as well as documenting its often overlooked fragrances and cosmetics. With stories of the people and companies that were integral to this label’s success, this book shows that, in its golden years, the company’s creations deserved the place they held in only the finest stores.
