Hellooooo and welcome to our first blogging week of January =D This panda is really glad that 2016 is over and I hope everyone’s lives get better in 2017!
We’re gathered here today for my monthly wishlist based on Goodreads’ popular book releases list and on what I have on my shelves over there =) I accept donations in case someone wants to gift me with any of those books LMAO #justkidding #ormaybenot #Ilovegifts #butwhodoesn’t?
Ps: you’ll notice some big authors weren’t featured on this post despite having new releases on January, but that is because I wasn’t impressed with their books? Sorry
JANUARY’S NEW BOOKS
*click on the book covers to be taken to their Goodreads’ page!*
DAY 3
- The Book Jumper, by Mechthild Gläser
Genre: YA Fantasy
Comments: I’d like to challenge all the readers in the world for a duel if they never wished to be inside a book =) #justsaying #Iwanttoliveinsideallmypages
- Freeks , by Amanda Hocking
Genre: YA Fantasy
Comments: what can I say? Freakish teens, a carnival, supernatural happenings = I’M IN.
DAY 9
- Off Base, by Annabeth Albert (Out of Uniform #1)
Genre: M/M Military Romance
Comments: I’m so proud of society for finding a gay romance among Goodreads’ most popular anticipated releases I also did find a cute Lesbian romance, but it was too dramatic for my panda sensibilities, unfortunately =(
DAY 10
- RoseBlood, by A.G. Howard
Genre: YA Fantasy (The Phantom of The Opera retelling)
Comments: My friend Jena, from the JenacidebyBibliophile, wrote a wonderful review for this book and now I have to read it too =D
- The Riper’s Shadow, by Laura Joh Rowland (Victorian Mystery #1)
Genre: Historical Fiction / Mystery
Comments: dark mystery + 19th century + England + Jack The Ripper? = MYSELF ALL OVER THE PLACE!
- You Don’t Know My Name, by Kristen Orlando (The Black Angel Chronicles #1)
Genre: YA Contemporary
Comments: I’ve read about this book at someone’s blog BUT I CAN’T FOR THE LIFE OF ME LOCATE WHERE IT WAS OMG – it also doesn’t help that I have been using three diferente computers on the last two weeks, so I don’t even know where to make a search, ugh. Anyway, it sounds awesome, I assure you, haha!
DAY 17
- Indelible, by Adelia Saunders
Genre: Contemporary Romance / Urban Fantasy (if you ask me)
Comments: I’m actually writing a book (shhh, it’s a secret!) and one of my characters is actually a body reader – not quite the concept of this book, but somewhere close. I think it will be a fabulous reading and provide me with some researching material at the same time, haha!
DAY 20
- Undertow, by Jordan L. Hawk (Whyborne & Griffin #8.5)
Genre: Historical/Fantasy FF Romance
Comments: I love Jodan so much that I’ll read ANYTHING she publishes. #justsaying But also, this book sounds lovely
DAY 26
- The Breakdown, by B. A. Paris
Genre: Mystery / Thriller
Comments: I’m dying to read Behind Closed Doors since its release, so why would it be any diferente with The Breakdown??
DAY 31
- Beauty and The Beast: Lost In a Book
Genre: Movie Guide/Companion
Comments: I LOVE companion guides from movies and tv shows, haha! Seriously, if I tell you I like the series/movie, just buy me the backstage book ❤
- Behind Her Eyes, by Sarah Pinborough
Genre: Mystery/ Thriller
Comments: I love Sarah Pinborough, but what made me stop and look at this particular book was Jess’, from the Mud and Stars, terrific review for it! NOW I MUST KNOW THE END!
- Blood of Wonderland (Queen of Hearts Saga #2), by Colleen Oakes
Genre: YA Fantasy / Retelling
Comments: Alice in Wonderland + Retelling + Fantasy + Blood = I’M IN AGAIN!
- By Your Side, from Kasie West
Genre: YA Contemporary Romance
Comments: I’m REALLY PICKY with my contemporary romances, but this book has all the elements to make me swoon: the problematic guy at school, locking at a library for days, books and social high school worries, haha!
- Caraval, by Stephanie Garber
Genre: YA Fantasy
Comments: I wasn’t interested in this book when I first heard of it. But then my lovely Beth, at the Betwixt The Pages, started to list her reasons why she wanted it and I was sold, haha!
- Dark Side of the Rainbow, by Danielle Paige (Dorothy Must Die 0.8)
Genre: YA Fantasy / Retelling
Comments: even if I didn’t already own almost all books in this series, just this title and cover would have been enough to make me purchase it. #justsaying
- How To Break A Boy, by Laurie Devore
Genre: YA Contemporary Romance
Comments: THIS EVERYTHING. I NEED TO READ IT NOW. N-O-W!
~*~
And that’s it! Honestly, I should be working to knock my TBR pile down, not on towering it even higher… #badpanda
What are your most anticipated releases for this month?!
With love,
That cover for The Book Jumper!! I just love it. I remember seeing a fellow blogger review it, but I cannot remember who, but I do know they really enjoyed it. I also have Caraval on my TBR as well. I have a feeling it is going to be a hot read this year 🙂

Agreeeed!! The Book Jumper sounds perfect in every aspect, haha! And I also think that Caraval (I keep reading and saying Carnaval tho, thanks Brasil!) will be a hot and fantastic read for 2017 ❤ Can't wait to see it hitting the shelves!!

Yay so glad you want to read Behind Her Eyes! It’s soooo good. I can’t wait to talk about the ending!! And I’m also glad to see you want to read Caraval, because I am desperate to read it. Maybe we can restart book club and make it a buddy read 😛 xxx

I think Caraval will be a big hit this year! I have to still buy the book, but I think we can restart book club when I get back from my vacation! And, of course, once you get established in London ❤

Me tooo, I don’t think the book comes out until 31st Jan anyway, so that’s perfect! ❤ Can't wait to restart book club!!

YES, DO ITTTT! I’m really sorry, I have a confession to make, I couldn’t resist starting to read it when it arrived, so we may have to read something else for book club. I am a terrible human being! But it was just calling to me… I hope you will forgive meee! xx

LMAO!! That’s okay, Jess ;D I hope you liked it!!! We can pick something else as soon as you get used to life in London and I get used to main life – sounds ridiculous, but I’m having a hard time adjusting to my regular post vacation life, who knew! #shameonthepanda

I don’t blame you at all, non-vacation life in general is difficult to adjust to! I am constantly trying to adjust to everyday life hahaa. I’m excited for us to start book club again 🙂

Exactly, haha! And I wanted to start it again as well, but we barely manage to talk to each other every other day, imagine us trying to read a book together… UGH, WE NEED TO GET A GRIP, JESS! I miss you =(
