(Edition of November 30th to December 07th)
So, the Bookish News has a name! Isn’t this fabulous? Of course it is. Also, we have a header! I’m too proud of myself at the moment. I don’t own any of the pandas, just put everything together at Photoshop, haha! The big lovely panda was designed by @elsystudio and I found the the panda stamps at Google =) But it’s kind of illustrative, right?
But enough blabbering and let’s go to the news! With Christmas so near, authors are going crazy with their newsletters and I think I’ll need to dothis thing actually TWICE a week… As my OCD won’t allow me to do differently always, you will find the author’s news in alphabetical order of their first names!
In this issue, you’ll read news about: Andrea Dalling, Annabeth Albert, Avery Ford, Bonnie Dee & Summer Devon, Cherokee Randolph, Grace Burrowes, Jody Holford, K. J. Charles, Lisa Oliver, Margo Bond Collins, May Sage, Parker Elliot, Posy Roberts, Rayne Wagner, Rebecca Hamilton, Tessa Bailey
Andrea just released her Romeo & Julian romance at ARE! Check it out here ❤

A courtship in the limelight…
Julian is just as captivated by Nick’s dark good looks and smoldering gaze. When the young lovers are cast as the leads in an all-male production of Romeo and Juliet, it amplifies the electric desire between them.
With trouble waiting in the wings…
Julian’s older brother, Tyler, is part of a long-standing feud that turns him against Nick. Ty’s unceasing stream of insinuations water the doubts in Julian’s mind. When the truth surfaces, can he and Nick find a way to be together, or will the secrets of the past destroy their future?
This steamy gay romance has an HEA ending and no cliffhanger.
An author I had the pleasure of meeting at Big Gay Romance Giveaway =) She just released a Christmas themed gay romance!

Trent Summers keeps a smile on his face, even though he feels like he’s dying inside. Since he was horribly knifed by a killer bear he’s had trouble with anxiety and panic attacks. Knowing most of his friends are shifters and immune to such things doesn’t help. Mace’s mating with Roan gives him some hope, but a mate of his own is just a pipe dream. In the meantime, he has to put aside his fears and help his friends find rogue vampires – not exactly a cure for stress.
Prince Alexi Vandermot is getting more than a little pissed off at his coven leader. There are rogue vampires in town and he’s ready to hunt them down. The problem is, his cousin keeps saying no. Things aren’t improved when the police come to call, bringing a consultant with them. Shifters are one thing, but Alexi is floored to find the consultant is his mate…human, scared and straight.
Claiming a mate is one thing; keeping him safe is another. When the rogues are found to have family ties to the coven and one of them fancies a bite out of Trent, the coven and the pack have to work together to make sure the body count doesn’t get any higher. When problems start to erupt inside of the coven as well, Alexi wonders if he’ll ever have any time to get to know his anxious mate.
Warning: This book is M/M, contains graphic content and coarse language. Trent suffers from panic attacks which some people might find a trigger and keep an eye on Kalel; he’s taken to stealing hats.
MARGO BOND COLLINS
I honestly can’t remember how I’ve found myself into this author’s newsletter, but I AM SO GLAD I AM! She just told us about the pre-order of her next romance, written along with N. R. Larry! I’ve met this author sometime between last year and this one at a blog tour that I hosted for the first book of The Sphinx series, Curse of the Sphinx! This week, she releaved to us the cover and blurb for the third book, Myths of Immortality, and showed us the new covers for books 0.5, Origin of The Sphinx, and 2, Demigods and Monsters ❤ One thing at a time, haha!
- Origin of The Sphinx, The Sphinx #0.5
Release date: June 06th, 2016
Rayne explained all cover changes: “It’s been an interesting process as I’ve “branded” the series, and my cover designer may have wanted to kill me, but I couldn’t be happier with the results! With the series branding, Demigods and Monsters got a new cover, and this is a real treat! Origin of the Sphinx got a facelift as well. It’s the prequel novella about how the curse came to be. I’m really loving how it turned out”. I’m with you there, Rayne! Those are WONDERFUL! ❤
In Ancient Greece, the invocation “May the Gods watch over you” was more than a spoken blessing. It was an entreaty for divine benevolence.
Phoibe, daughter of Hera, is content. Raised by her aunt, her life is quiet, filled with milling grain and spinning wool. But after her Hestia celebration, Eros, god of love, visits the small town of Belen.
And now Phoibe will have to choose— If she marries a mortal, she risks eternal solitude for a moment of love. If she follows her heart, she risks spurning a god.
The gods are enormously powerful, but they don’t fix problems. They make bigger ones.
Uncover the curse. . .
- Demigods and Monsters, The Sphinx #2
Release date: April 25th, 2016
Here’s a little something of what the author had to say about this particular cover: “The cover ‘model’ is Josh “The Punk” Thomson, an actual fighter in Bellator MMA. I thought it truly divine that Xan, demigod son of Ares, be represented by a skilled martial artist. Did you catch my nerdy reference to deity there? lol”. We did got your reference, Rayne! SO CLEVER ❤
Can Apollo’s curse be broken?

When the goddess Artemis instructs Hope to impersonate a demigod and infiltrate a conservatory to get access to the Olympian library, she doesn’t hesitate. As she sees it, there’s nothing left to lose.
But once inside, Hope discovers the only way to get what she needs is to work with her sworn enemies. As the lines between demigod and monster are crossed again and again, Hope has to dig deep for the courage to accept her fate or fight for the freedom to save herself.
- Myths of Immortality, The Sphinx #3
Available on January 12th, 2017
In the realm of the dead, there are no lies.
Hope Nicholas is desperate to believe that the truth will set her free from the bindings of Apollo’s curse. But to get the truth, she must travel to the Underworld, a feat near impossible for the living. The gods there have their own agendas and, forced to forge alliances with the most unlikely allies, Hope will find that death is not the worst torment of the Underworld.
Athan Michael spent months chasing Hope, only to have her disappear once again. And when he discovers her destination, he knows the treacherous journey to the Underworld is one he cannot take alone. Forced to put aside his past with Xan and Dahlia, the three demigods embark on their own quest. But the past will not stay buried, and Athan must decide how much he’s willing to sacrifice to help Hope break the curse.
Told in duel points of view, Myths of Immortality is a tense, action-packed story that will leave you begging for the next installment of The Sphinx series.
I honestly can’t recall how I got acquited with Rebecca’s books, but I have been on her newsletter for LONG now, haha! Her newest book is already up for pre-order at Amazon and, needless to say, it sounds AWESOME.
- Something like Voodoo
Release Date: Feb. 07th
High School can be a witch.
A teen girl with the ability to predict deaths through her drawings shouldn’t need to lie constantly to make her life sound interesting. But that doesn’t stop Emily from spinning stories faster than she can keep up.

A too-handsome-for-his-own-good senior, Noah has some secrets of his own. He needs Emily’s special gift to save him from Sarah, queen bee of the school’s It Girls, whose own supernatural abilities have forced him into a life of silence and solitude.

Soon, Emily and Noah are on a collision course with the It Girls, leading to a shocking revelation that ties them together in unimaginable ways.
