Hello, there! I don’t know what’s happening with me lately, I don’t seem to be able to put up a post on Saturdays! Ugh, so frustrating! Anyway, hope you’re enjoying your Sunday (it’s already middle afternoon over here) and it’s time to talk about the chosen one for TBR of the Week: Clockwork Angel, by Cassandra Clare!
In a time when Shadowhunters are barely winning the fight against the forces of darkness, one battle will change the course of history forever. Welcome to the Infernal Devices trilogy, a stunning and dangerous prequel to the New York Times bestselling Mortal Instruments series.
The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them…
Why I got interested: this world is haunting me. Since before the Shadowhunters TV series began, I already had my eye on Cassandra Clare (I’d have to be blind to not know her on bookstagram). But the last few weeks have been pure torture. Everybody is speaking of this world, those books, Lady Midnight, EVERYTHING. For the first in a long while, I feel like I’m truly missing something special, you know? So I’ll be reading this book in May or June, as I CAN’T WITH THIS CRAZINESS ANYMORE!
Ahem, that’s it, haha! Thanks for reading! Anyone else hasn’t read these books?!! Am I really the last human in the generation that didn’t read Cassandra Clare yet?!!
Yesssssss! ❤ and that is all I have to say haha.
